Serging with Confidence: Gathering and Rolled Hem Techniques
We will learn to gather fabric using our sergers. With a minor machine adjustment, gentle gathers will grace this lovely pillowcase, which also includes a 3-thread rolled hem stitch on the ruffle! We will also demonstrate the Viking Serger Gathering Foot. If you already have a gathering foot with your machine, please bring it with you.
Materials Needed:
26" x 40" cut of fabric
2 coordinating fabric pieces cut 10" x 42" each (these make up the ruffle)
4 coordinating serger threads
1 decorative thread (optional, but a slightly thicker thread looks nice in a rolled hem)
