Our Class Policy

We are happy to provide classes for our customers, so we have adopted this policy in support of our teachers who take pride in preparing for their classes.

  1. Class fees are required at time of registration. You can register and pay for a class at the store. Phone reservations will be accepted if you use a major credit card, or you can mail in your registration with a check.
  2. If you must cancel your class, we need to be notified a minimum of 3 days before the class is scheduled to issue a refund or credit toward another class (your choice). We ask for this courtesy since many of our classed require a specialized kit that we personally assemble for you. In addition, some classes have a waiting list and we want to give everyone an opportunity to attend.
  3. There will be no refunds or credit given if you cancel your class beyond the time period. No exceptions.
  4. We also reserve the right to cancel a class if we don’t have the minimum number of students. Refunds or credits will be issued in this case and we will make every effort NOT to cancel a class unless absolutely necessary.
  5. Please request a supply list when you register. Read the list thoroughly so you can purchase all the required supplies prior to the class– unless the list indicates differently. We will be happy to help you select your supplies or materials if you need assistance.

We hope that you understand the need for us to establish this class policy. As we try to expand the variety and quantity of our classes, this will help us to keep everything organized. We sincerely appreciate your support of our classes and our store.

We encourage you to bring your own machine for classes so that you will become familiar with your machine. However, if that is not possible, or if you do not own a machine, we will be happy to provide one for your use if you just let us know your need when registering.

Join us for our trip to Quilting Around Chautauqua in September!

Join us as we take a wonderful trip to peaceful, historic Chautauqua, New York. We will depart from Sew Special at 11 am on Friday, September 26. We will arrive and check into our hotel before dinner is served in the grand dining room of the Athenaeum Hotel, where we will be staying for the two nights. The price includes 2 nights' lodging, 6 meals in the grand dining room, admission and round trip bus fare. We will depart for home immediately following lunch on Sunday and arrive in Uniontown approximately 6 pm. Eleanor Burns will be the featured speaker and she will be teaching classes during the event. If you should desire to take any of her classes, these additional fees will be at your own expense. I will get a schedule of the classes for anyone who is interested. There is a free quilted fashion show on Friday evening that you may attend. This is an absolutely fabulous place, even without the quilting festival, but add the quilting festival and the combination is just unbeatable! Please plan to join us, but seating on the bus and the room block at the hotel is limited. Must have $50 deposit to hold your reservation and balance must be paid by September 1. We will have a waiting list in case someone must cancel. Sew Special will be taking part in the festival as a vendor in Bellinger Hall. This will be an unforgettable weekend!

Please contact Sew Special for more information!
